6th INTERNATIONAL FORUM

“Human Resources and Social Work in Oil and Gas Companies”

Forum is held annually from year 2006. All latest trends in Human Resources and Social Policies, best Russian and foreign practices and best educational projects within Oil and Gas sector are discussed and analyzed during the Forum.

In 2010 special attention was paid to analysis of Human Resources Policy in the biggest American companies such as ExxonMobil (as example of Centralized Human Resources Management Model) and Chevron (as example of Decentralized Human Resources Management Model). Over 150 participants from more than 60 companies took part. This year best Human Resources Management practices and experiences of the leading European oil and gas companies such as BP, Neste and Total will be examined.

The objective of the Forum is to provide opportunity for discussion of the most vital issues for Human Resources Management and Social Policies in oil and gas companies.

Goals of the Forum are following:

  • Share experience and work out new approaches to improve Human Resources Management in oil and gas companies
  • Discuss possible development of social environment and employment relations
  • Compare different approaches to structure Human Resources and Social Departments
  • Consider key factors for successful HR Projects within oil and gas sector
  • Evaluate possibility of use of best European practices in Russian companies

All participants are welcomed to make a report according to selected section.

III. SPECIALIZED WORKSHOP

Oil and gas personnel evaluation. How to measure and increase Corporate IQ*
(consecutive interpretation into Russian)

Modern approaches, developed by leading Dutch scientists, introduce use of a new quantitative corporate IQ index together with the individual IQ. Higher corporate IQ means more effective business. World leading oil and gas companies have 30-40 points higher Corporate IQ index than on the average.

Purpose of this workshop is to provide top managers and HR managers with methodological tools for human resources efficiency evaluation.
Following problems related to formation and evaluation of corporate IQ will be examined:
